The Commedia dell’Arte workshops will take place in November 2019 and in February 2020 in Cambridge, UK. Each workshop will consist of four sessions, and each session will be dedicated to the legacy of Commedia dell’Arte in the Italian, English, French and Russian theatre respectively. The first part of each session will offer a theoretical insight into the legacy of Commedia dell’Arte in each of these cultural contexts and the second part will be an acting workshop under the guidance of the professional actor and director Ludovico Nolfi.
Ludovico Nolfi is an Italian actor, director and drama teacher. Currently, he is a director at the theatre companies Progetto Attore in Rome and Ars in Fieri in Cambridge. He directed several plays by Italian authors, such as Luigi Pirandello, Eduardo De Filippo, Pier Paolo Pasolini and Niccolò Macchiavelli for the Cambridge University Italian Society. He also leads theatrical workshops in Italy and abroad.
